How to Delete a Contact

Occasionally, you'll need to clean up your list of contacts. To remove a contact from Mazevo, you can disable or delete it. This article reviews the pros and cons of these two options.

The Quick Summary

Disabling a contact removes it from use on new events, but it remains in the system for reporting purposes. Disabling is reversible.

Deleting a contact also removes it from further use, but it remains in the system for reporting purposes. Deleting a contact is NOT reversible. 

How to disable a contact

  1. Navigate to Events > contact.
  2. Click on the contact's name to edit the record.
  3. Select the disabled checkbox.
  4. Press Save.

How to re-enable a contact

  1. Navigate to Events > contact.
  2. Click on the contact's name to edit the record.
  3. Unselect the disabled checkbox.
  4. Press Save.

How to delete a contact

  1. Navigate to Events > contact.
  2. Click on the trashcan icon for the contact to be deleted.
  3. Acknowledge the deletion warning by typing the word DELETE. (all caps)

You can only delete a contact if it is not associated with a user record.
