Mazévo Cheat Sheet for EMS Users - Security

This article provides a roadmap of standard EMS desktop processes and the equivalent process in Mazévo, along with the security role required to execute each function.

Overview

In EMS, there were two different types of users, Desktop users and Everyday users (web users).  In Mazévo, there is only one kind of user, and access to the system is granted by assigning one or more roles to a user account.

Below are functions in EMS and the corresponding security role in Mazévo.

EMS Everyday Users (Web Users)

An everyday user in EMS becomes a user in Mazévo with the Requester Role.  The requester can create new requests (or events), or the requester can be view-only.

In EMS, everyday users had one or more process templates and one security template tied to their accounts. In Mazévo, the user is associated with a single security policy that dictates the booking rules and the rooms that a user can request.
