We’ve just released a new update to Mazévo with enhancements that make it easier to manage your events, data, and academic scheduling. Here’s what’s new and why it matters:

✨New Features

Search Find Events Views

What’s new: You can now search for saved views directly from the Find Events My Views or Public Views page using a search box at the top.

Why it matters: If you’ve saved dozens of views, this makes finding the right one much faster. It also keeps things consistent with other areas of Mazévo that already support search.

New Billing Statement Report

What’s new: You can now generate a Billing Statement for any organization in Mazévo. The statement includes all open invoices and their associated charges for a selected date range.

Why it matters: This makes it easier to communicate with organizations about their outstanding balances, perfect for finance folks that need a clear, consolidated view of billing activity to send to each customer.

Export Contacts with Organization Info

What’s new: You can now export your full Mazévo contact list to Excel, including each contact’s associated organizations.

Why it matters: This makes it easier to share contact information outside of Mazévo.

New API Calls for Digital Signage

What’s new: New API capabilities now allow bookings to be created from digital signs, including making, ending, or extending bookings anonymously.

Why it matters: This paves the way for seamless walk-up room reservations and real-time updates via third party digital signage solutions, like those from Visix.

📚 Advanced Academic Scheduling Enhancements

We’ve made several powerful improvements to the Advanced Academics module that give registrars and schedulers more control over classroom assignment.

Standard Course Meeting Patterns

What’s new: You can now define standard meeting patterns (e.g., MWF 10–11 a.m.) in the optimizer. Courses that follow those patterns can then be prioritized separately.

Why it matters: Universities often struggle with classroom shortages during peak times. Prioritizing standard patterns helps make better use of space and reduces scheduling conflicts.

Room and Building Preferences by Instructor

What’s new: You can now set preferred rooms or buildings for specific instructors. The optimizer will factor these preferences in when assigning classrooms.

Why it matters: Instructors may prefer or need to teach in specific classrooms for accessibility reasons. Mazévo will now remember the instructors classroom preference even when setting up a new term.

Block Event Requests for Academic Spaces

What’s new: You can now block or unblock all academic spaces from being used for events during a specified term with just a few clicks.

Why it matters: Previously, this required time-consuming security policy updates. Now registrars can quickly control access to academic spaces, keeping them free for scheduling until they’re ready to open bookings to others.
