We’re excited to share the latest improvements in Mazévo designed to make scheduling and managing events even smoother. Here’s what’s new:
Import Special Dates from Excel
You can now import a list of special dates directly from an Excel file.
Why this matters:
Manually entering special dates like holidays, breaks, or blackout periods can be tedious and prone to error. Now you can load them in bulk from Excel, saving time and ensuring accuracy.
Add Secondary and Billing Contacts More Easily
When creating a new event, you can now add both a secondary contact and a billing contact from the same page. Previously, only a primary contact could be added at that step.
Why this matters:
Events often involve multiple stakeholders. Capturing all contacts without having to go to another page or browser tab means fewer clicks, saving time.
Terms Sorted by Start Date
The list of academic terms is now sorted by the term start date. Previously, it was sorted alphabetically by description.
Why this matters:
Sorting by start date makes it much easier to find the correct term quickly, especially when working with multiple sessions or overlapping academic years.
Custom Branding Logo for Special Uses
If you’ve purchased the custom branding option, you can now upload a special logo for use with branded reports and views. Previously, the system used the same logo file from confirmations, which made proper sizing difficult.
Why this matters:
This new flexibility ensures your logos always display cleanly and professionally in every context, reinforcing your brand with customers and staff.
Billing Code on Service Order Report
The billing code for an event is now displayed directly on the service order report.
Why this matters:
Event planners and staff can now see financial details at a glance, reducing the need to cross-reference multiple reports.
Safeguards for Large Reports
Mazévo reporting tools will now prevent you from running reports for periods longer than two years. In addition, the Find Events tool will warn you when running searches for five years or longer.
Why this matters:
Very long reporting ranges can slow down performance and deliver results that are hard to work with. These guardrails help keep reporting fast and relevant while still giving you flexibility for broader searches.
Bug Fixes
Along with new features, we’ve resolved several issues:
- Status history was not being recorded correctly.
- Deleting events imported through the event import tool wasn’t working correctly.
- Confirmation and invoice emails from the event editor were not being sent in some cases.
- Requesters were not being notified when they exceeded their weekly booking limit.
- Custom branding logos were not displaying correctly on published reports and saved Find Events views.
