We’re excited to share a new round of improvements across Event Scheduling, Event Questions, and Advanced Academics. This update focuses on giving you clearer insight into your work, smarter tools to collect information, and smoother academic scheduling workflows. Here’s what’s new.
Event Scheduling Updates
Year-End Benchmark Report
We want to recognize the incredible work our customers put into scheduling and coordinating events throughout 2025. For a limited time, Global Administrators will find a brand new Year-End Benchmark Report under the Account menu.
This report offers a snapshot of your organization’s scheduling activity and impact. Share it with your leadership team to spark conversations around growth, staffing, communication, and resource planning as you head into the new year.
Schedule Emails to Any Address
Scheduled Emails can now be sent to any email address, not just an event’s primary, secondary, or billing contact. This gives you one more way to gently remind service providers like catering, custodial, or AV teams their services are needed.
Filter Approvals and Unanswered Questions by Event Coordinator
In Day at a Glance, you can now filter Approvals and Unanswered Questions by Event Coordinator, making it easier for coordinators to focus only on the events assigned to them.
Event Questions Updates
Dependent Questions for Multi-Choice Responses
Dependent questions can now be triggered by answers to multi-choice questions (questions where users can select more than one option). Previously, dependencies only worked with single-select questions.
Edit Answer Definitions Directly
Administrators can now edit answer definitions when building a question. You no longer need to delete and recreate an answer from scratch just to make a change.
New Answer Types with Validation
Mazévo now supports additional question types that require validated responses, including:
- Date (with optional range limits)
- Numeric value (with optional range limits)
- Email address (validated for proper formatting)
Advanced Academic Updates
Filter Academic Conflicts by Term
In Day at a Glance, you can now filter Academic Conflicts by Term, making it easier to monitor issues for specific academic periods.
Faster Room and Instructor Navigation in the Academic Book
The Academic Book has been redesigned so the list of rooms in a building or instructors is always visible. You can now switch between them instantly without returning to a dropdown menu.
Filter Academic Analytics by Room Tags
You can now filter Academic Analytics reports by Room Tags in addition to building, room type, or individual room.
Multi-Campus Academic Scheduling
Mazévo now supports academic scheduling on institutions with multiple campuses (for example, North Campus and South Campus). This means you can optimize and publish classes on a single campus without processing all campuses together.
Process Courses by Subject
You can now choose to process academic courses for a single subject at a time. Previously, you could optimize by subject but not process selectively—you had to run the entire term.
View Conflicts Directly in Check Room Availability
Check Room Availability will now show you the specific courses or events causing a conflict. No more jumping to a separate tool to see what’s blocking a room.
Search Rooms by Tag in the Optimizer
When assigning rooms in the optimizer, you can now search by Room Tag, not just by room name/type.
Support for Combined Enrollment in Cross-Listed Courses
If your institution uses combined enrollment totals for cross-listed courses, Mazévo now honors that enrollment value when finding available classrooms. Contact Mazévo support to enable this option for your institution.
Bug Fixes
- Exporting the Events Calendar (Standard View) to PDF now consistently displays the entire calendar regardless of your screen size.
- Network interruptions no longer cause error messages to appear on Mazévo Room Signs after the connection has already recovered.
- Linked courses are now displayed more consistently in the Academic Book.
- Events that were canceled were sometimes being moved back to Pending if a requester made changes. They will now remain canceled.
- Work item times in Manage Operations will now display consistently.
- Editing a booking’s event name will now display the correct event name every time.
- Saved Views run from the Find Events page will now produce the same results whether run directly or accessed through a link.
