Mazévo Product Update – New Features and Fixes
This latest release includes several powerful updates to improve usability, increase visibility into your data, and enhance reporting across your Mazévo system. Many of these enhancements are based directly on customer feedback and are designed to help you work more efficiently across departments.
Here’s what’s new:
Advanced Find Events: Enhanced Revenue Reporting
Several new fields have been added to Advanced Find Events for improved financial analysis. These include:
- Account Code
- Gross Amount
- Net Amount
- Discount
- Tax and Service Charge
- Total
Why this matters:
Previously, reporting on revenue didn't allow for flexibility in the data you wish to report on. Now, you can run custom queries and build revenue reports with much greater flexibility—ideal for finance teams or departments needing more control over event cost data.
Event Editor: Custom Reply-To Address When Emailing Customers
When emailing a customer directly from the event editor, you can now modify the reply-to address for that message.
Why this matters:
Previously, replies would default to a fixed address, which might not be relevant. This change gives you control over how customers respond, helping ensure replies go to the right person or team.
Room Type Now Displayed in Add New Request
When selecting a room in Add New Request, the room type is now immediately visible without needing to click into the room for details.
Why this matters:
Previously, requesters had to click into each room to see its type (e.g., lecture hall, conference room, outdoor space). Now, this information is surfaced earlier in the workflow to help users make faster, more informed decisions.
Invoicing: New Subtotal Column
When generating a batch of invoices, you’ll now see a new column: Invoice Subtotal in addition to the Amount column. This addition give you greater visibility into the financial makeup of each invoice, especially when working with zero-balance events.
Why this matters:
Previously, it was difficult to tell why an invoice had a zero balance—whether it was due to a 100% discount (zero subtotal) or because a deposit had already covered the full cost (non-zero subtotal). Now, with the subtotal displayed alongside the total, you can quickly distinguish between these two scenarios and make more informed decisions about which invoices to generate or send.
Event Questions: New Short Description Field for Reporting
When creating an event question, you can now define a short description that will appear as the column heading in Advanced Find Events reports.
Why this matters:
Previously, reports used the entire event question text as the column heading, which could make exports difficult to scan if the question text was long. The new short description keeps reporting clean and more readable, especially when you're working with multiple custom fields.
Service Providers: Expanded Information in Settings
The service provider list now includes:
- The number of resources linked to each provider
- The service provider's email address
- A list of buildings the provider is limited to

Why this matters:
This gives administrators a more complete view of each provider’s scope, improving coordination and reducing the chance of assigning services to the wrong locations.
Room Signs: Show Non-Space-Holding Bookings
You can now choose to display bookings that do not hold space—such as bookings with “information only” statuses—on room signs.
Why this matters:
Previously, these types of bookings were hidden from signs, which could cause confusion about room activity. Now you have the option to make all scheduled activity visible, even when there are multiple bookings scheduled in the room at the same time.
Academic Scheduling: SIS Room Now Included in Course Export
When exporting course data using Find Courses, the export now includes the SIS room assigned to each course.
Why this matters:
Previously, there was no way to confirm or compare room assignments from the SIS in exported data. This new column allows for easier validation, reconciliation, and planning.
Academic Scheduling: View Optimizer Settings After Processing Terms
You can now access optimizer settings after a term has been processed, allowing you to review configuration choices for each course.
Why this matters:
In the past, once a term was processed, there was no way to view the optimizer inputs. This update adds transparency and gives you the ability to review or troubleshoot placement logic post-processing.
Bug Fixes
Several issues have been resolved in this update:
- Event question approvals now trigger correctly when answered by an event planner.
- Email message formatting no longer causes double-spaced paragraphs when using single spacing.
- Service providers are no longer visible to requesters if not configured to be shown.
- Building hours now display correctly in Add New Event when special dates are defined.
As always, thank you for your feedback. These updates are a direct result of your input, and we hope they improve your scheduling experience. If you have questions about anything new, or want help exploring any of these features, don’t hesitate to reach out.
